Congratulations to our newest Yearlings who graduated CFT 1 today! The rest of the class of 2028 is working hard to train their soldier skills and leadership through this detail and will be graduating in a few short weeks.

Plebes no more! Here are a few pictures from yesterday’s recognition. The class of 2028 has come a long way since R-Day almost one year ago. Summer training up next!

As the year winds to a close, more and more of our teams are celebrating their newest members! Army Fencing, Boxing, and Taekwondo had amazing end of year parties to recount their eventful seasons, wish their Firsties well, and send the Plebes with luck into their summer training.

Come cheer on our West Point Rabble Rousers at 1 PM in Christl Arena! They have been working hard to perfect their routines for nationals in Florida next week. Congratulations on your hard work and go Rabs 📣

Last weekend the Class of 2028 welcomed family and friends to Plebe Parent Weekend. Cadets had the opportunity of showcasing their daily lives in the halls of Thayer, Arvin gym, and even their barracks.
This weekend marks the first time plebes assume leadership roles, as the upper class departs for spring leave. The close collaboration and leadership between cadets and faculty allowed for a wonderful parade and banquet.
Finally, the Class of 2028 is proud to have revealed their class crest to carry forward the legacy of the long gray line. We thank all the families for their unwavering support to their cadets.

Last night, The Class of 2028 revealed their class crest during the Plebe Parent Weekend Banquet!
This marks a large milestone for the class that serves as a promise to our Army’s values of Duty, Honor, and Country.
We thank our cadets, families, friends, faculty, our 50 year affiliate class, and the Ring and Crest Committee for their continued dedication to support and serve the Class of 2028 throughout their journey here at West Point. The future is bright for these cadets.

This morning Cadets and the West Point community came together for the Fallen Comrades half marathon/ruck. We honored the lives of 13 members of the long gray line who made the ultimate sacrifice. Today and every day we remember the legacy they left and strive to follow their example of selfless service and courage.

This morning 2nd regiment plebes staged for a team workout consisting of a mile run, pushups, burpees, low crawl, high crawl, and another mile run. Cadets pushed themselves and their teammates! As we approach Plebe Parent Weekend, the rest of the regiments will complete this workout. #1percentbettereveryday

Happy Friday! This week cadets have been getting after it academically and physically. Have a great long weekend!

Amazing job to all of the members of the Class of 2028 who participated in the 100th Night Show! Whether you were behind the scenes or on the stage, your hard work and dedication helped put together a great and memorable show for the Firsties!

Last weekend, the Corps of Cadets participated in the annual Norwegian Footmarch (31 January 2025). We’re super proud of all of the members of the Class of 2028 who take part in the tradition and who successfully completed the march!
Shoutout to CDT PVT Jack Gartman from West Point’s Black and Gold Sandhurst for running the fastest plebe time at 2 hours 55 minutes. We love to see Plebes demonstrating excellence every day!!
History:
The Norwegian Foot March originated in 1915 as a test of endurance for Norwegian soldiers, designed to assess their ability to move large units of troops over long distances (18.6 miles), while maintaining combat readiness by carrying a heavy rucksack (minimum of 25lbs) over a set distance within a specific time limit. Today, the Norwegian Foot March is not only conducted by Norwegian military personnel but also other military branches as well as civilians. It is a challenging endurance event, often held as a competition in which Males compete to finish in under 4hrs 30 mins and females compete to finish in under 5hrs 20 mins.
